Rethinking Child Welfare Investigations Project
We want to hear your story
We are conducting interviews to help us better understand families’ experiences with the child welfare system, focusing on the initial investigation. Basically, this includes the first contact from a child welfare worker, the investigation and any case planning or follow up activities that took place. We want to hear parents’ experiences so we can begin to understand how child protective services (CPS) is working and what might be needed to make the system better.
Purpose of the research project
Children’s Trust Fund Alliance is part of this research project, along with the funders – Annie E. Casey Foundation, Stand Together Foundation and Aviv Foundation. The information that you provide will help inform their investments in improving the child welfare system.
