Betty Hawkins-Emery is the director of Hawkins House Inc., a non-profit child advocacy group. its primary purpose is to establish concrete resources to aid in the community’s well-being through tangible and ongoing programs for community health. She is a retired licensed practical nurse and certified in health and wellness. Betty holds an Associate of Arts in health care administration and a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a Master’s in Public Administration. Betty is currently a Co-Chair of the Alliance National Parent Partnership Council, is a member of the Alliance Board of Directors, and is a Certified Trainer for the Alliance’s Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life in Your Work.
Betty also serves on the University of Oklahoma Parent Partner Advisory Committee in Oklahoma and the Parent Partnership Board for the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth and the Parent Partnership Leaders Committee. Betty is involved with the Potts Family Foundation grant. Betty is also the proud mother of a 16-year-old child born with Down’s syndrome, advocating for all special needs children.
