Samanthia Valentine
Samanthia Valentine is a single mother of four children ranging in age from six to 18 years of age. She is no stranger to Advocacy, having spent more than 20 years as an educator and parent with lived experience she advocates for services to support and strengthen families. Her primary goal is to help equip her community with knowledge and awareness of programs that can keep parents and children safely together.
Through personal experience, Samanthia gained a greater understanding of navigating systems, bias, and the importance of parent voice. Samanthia’s family has gone on to participate in their own advocacy journey with ongoing humanitarian service to the community.
Samanthia is a proud member of the ANPPC and is a Certified Trainer for the Alliance’s Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life in Your Work. Samanthia is also a member of the Georgia Parent Advisory Council Region 7 and Strengthening Families Leadership team. She has a Bachelor’s in Education from Coastal Carolina University and a Master’s in Mathematics Education from Cambridge College with advanced studies from Argosy University and the University of South Carolina Columbia.
She hopes to make a difference by reducing the stigma of families asking for help. Samanthia is committed to being a transformational leader, a social change agent, and an advocate because she believes “anything that affects our children affects us all.”
